Description:
A rabbit polyclonal antibody was prepared against the native Tdp1 protein. The purity was greater than 99% as determined by SDS-PAGE. The antibody is in solution (PBS) at 2.5 unit/ul (see definitions of unit below). This antibody is ideal for Western blotting applications or immunoflourescent (IF) studies on the cytological localization. The dilutions of antibody required for specific detection should be optimized for the investigator’s particular system (cell line being used for example).

Unit Definition:
The antibody concentration is in Western blotting units where one unit corresponds to a 1:1000 dilution of the antibody required to make 1 ml of diluted probe for a routine Western blot. Thus, 10 units of antibody will make 10 ml of diluted probe. In this product, the AB is supplied at 2.5 u/ul therefore 1 ul of stock AB can be diluted to 2.5 ml of probe for Western blotting applications.

Vial Contents:
Cat. # 2016 contains either 250 units (Cat# 2016) or 25 units (Cat# 2016-A) of affinity purified rabbit antibody in Tris Buffered Saline at 2.5 unit/ul (25 ul total volume).

Fig.1. Purified Tdp-1 was loaded onto SDS-PAGE which was then probed with Cat# 2016 (1:2500 dilution). A breakdown band is seen when gels are overloaded with 50 ng of protein.
